We always start on a blanc piece of paper.
Not with some moodboard or current trend.
No just pen & paper and some free flowing wonder.
Without thinking about any restrictions of what is physically possible.
It's all about creating clothing like a child that builds a sandcastle. With lots of fantasy, intensity and a strong belief that it somehow will workout in the end.
Made slowly
We believe clothing shouldn’t be rushed.
That’s why we work in small runs and take our time choosing fabrics, refining fits, and testing details until everything feels right. Not perfect; but right.
Whenever possible, we produce close to home. From prints and embroidery to cards and small extras, we work with local makers in and around Groningen, the Netherlands. It keeps us involved in the process, helps us get the details right, and supports the locals.
It also means higher costs, and thus lower profit margins.
But we are okay with that.
Because we’re not trying to make the most money.
We’re trying to make pieces that last.
